The next Board of Adjustments hearing on the Maymead asphalt plant will begin at 4pm January 20th in the county courthouse on King St. Please attend for all or part of the hearing. Your presence is needed to keep the pressure on!
High Country Watch would like to sincerely thank those who have generously donated funds in the past week. We have raised $425.00 towards our $10,000.00 goal.
We realize that money is tight this time of year, but this is not the only way you can contribute! We are planning a fundraising event in late February or early March. If you have services or items valued at $50.00 or more that you would like to donate for our High Country Watch fundraising raffle or web auction please contact us immediately and a board member will arrange to meet you and pick it up. We are looking for items that are in excellent or new condition that would be desirable as a raffle item to the general public. Additionally, if you offer a service or have a business where you can donation a gift certificate these would also be of value to the raffle.
Please email us at highcountrywatch@gmail.com with a description of the item and its estimated value. We hope to accumulate at least a dozen or two items by mid February.
We are also seeking new members for our High Country Watch Board. Our board will be focused on organizing fundraisers and continuing the watch in the High Country. Please email us if you can donate some of your time and expertise towards our efforts.
Sincerely -
The High Country Watch Board
